I found an old wad of Epson photo quality inkjet paper - the coated stuff -
but I don't have an inkjet printer. Would it be safe to feed it to a 4-pass
laser printer?

Laser printers eat nearly everything.
Don't know about '4-pass' though,

In my experience, no. The toner doesn't stick to this paper and
generally makes a mess both inside the printer and on the paper. And on
your hands when you touch the print afterwards. Unless your printer
specifically states you can use it, then don't.

I've had messy experiences with a Samsung CLP-500, CLP-510 and an HP
Laserjet doing this, and had to print quite a few "dummy" pages through
the Samsungs to clear the excess toner out.

Thanks David. I won't chance it.
