Thanks to Jaimie V my son now has 1 gig in his Macbook Pro. The old
memory i.e. the original 512 together with a 256 that was unused when he
got the machine is now available if anyone can find a use for it.

Replies [if any] here please as there is too much spam on this e mail
account now for me to wade through.

Don't suppose the 512mB chip would fit in a 12" PowerBook?
The PowerBook uses DDR SD Ram by the way.

Unfortunately not, all the intel lappies (and iMacs) use DDR2.

"all the intel lappies (and iMacs and Minis) use the same DDR2
SODIMMS", is what I meant to say. Remarkably consistent for a product
range.

They still charge 90quid for a 1gig stick, to make up for it.

I'd be interested in the 512 but I'm not desperate, so if someone else
wants it they can jump the queue ahead of me :) Actually, if the 256 is
gonna be binned I'd rather make use of that than see it go to waste...

My email - nettid1@fastmail.fm - works but I might not be able to check
it until Monday...

Well, no one else so far. I'm off on holiday tomorrow for the week so if
no one else jumps in by the time I get back it's yours.

Have it if you can use it. It won't get binned but it will go in the
drawer...

So, no other takers that I can see, it must be yours if you still want it ?

Oops, I missed that previous update, so lost out on the 512... I'd still
be interested in the 256 though - I'll stick it in Han's MacBook.

You said your email is clogged with spam so I won't email you - drop me

I've still got a couple of 512 sticks kicking around, either or both
are yours if you want'em.

Okay, it works now. Or at least it malfunctions in all the expected ways.
