I've just spotted that Launchbar 4.3 is now available. It seems they
skipped 4.2 although it was (available as a beta for a while) because
of the number of new features. The most obvious difference is is a
Leopard feel to the bar itself.
I recently switched back to Quicksilver largely because of the ability
to access application menus directly from typing the name of the
command rather than having to remember the shortcut. I will try
Launchbar again because I do like its smaller footprint and it always
felt more responsive although not as capable as QS.

I had the oposite. I didn't like haing to type the name of the command
rather than my choice of letters!

I found QS a bit sluggish, although that was on a slower machine than
this.
