documents to the laptop.
how should I connect them both using ethernet cards, i have an

I dont' want any internet connection on any one, just want to connect

This is a Macintosh newsgroup; you would be better off asking in a
Windows newsgroup.

Or maybe the OP thought Mac people know all the answers ;-)

I know Windows well, but I'm not interested in support Windows users
here, because my employer doesn't pay me for my time here.  ; )  So I
think he'd still be better off asking in a Windows news group.

Please send all responses to the relevant news group rather than directly
to me, as E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry
SPAM filter. Due to Google's refusal to prevent spammers from posting
messages through their servers, I often ignore posts from Google Groups.
You'll need to use a real news reader if you want me to see your posts.

Get two Macs.  Then it will be easy and appropriate to this newsgroup.
