Hello

Brand new iMac 24", 3.06GHz, 4GB RAM, 10.5.3
500GB Time Capsule

The iMac was installed with 1 user.
Then another user with documents, Settings and programs were "imported"
using Migration Assistant from a 400MHz G4 running 10.2.8 (disks had to
be put in an external housing...)

The TimeCapsule is used to connect to the Internet via Ethernet.
The TimeCapsule can be accessed and configured through Airport Utility.
Accessing the Internet with no problem.

The TimeCapsule is seen in the Finder side bar under "Shared"
Whenever I try to connect to it, I get an error message "connection
failed" (in German as the OS is set up in German).

In the Console Messages Log I see this message repeating:

07.06.08 17:50:19 NetAuthAgent689 Cannot find factory
69DFF912-F8B5-11D5-B151-003065A0E6DE

I hooked up the TimeCapsule to another Mac (mini G4, 10.5.3) which had
no problem to connect to the TimeCapsule.

Searching the net did not give any help, so I'm here...
How can I teach the iMac to connect to the TimeCapsule?

Cheers
Andreas

Call Apple Care and I'm sure they'd figure it out.  You do get free tech
support for a while and have the option for a three year plan (well, here
anyway)...
