Bizarre Airport Problem

I have two machines on an Airport Express in my house connected to a
cable modem.  I rarely have any problems with the connection and when I
do, a simple reboot of the cable modem/airport/computer fixes it.

Tonight I came home and my work computer (Powerbook G4 OS 10.4.8)
cannot see my network, although it CAN see my neighbor's network.  My
kids' eMac, on the other hand, sees my network just fine.

I have checked system preferences, repaired permissions, done a disk
utility in singer-user UXIX command-line mode and explored everything I
can think of.  I'm assuming it has to be SOME kind of specific software
problem related to THIS airport card because clearly, it works (it can
see another network) and clearly my network is fine (the other computer
can see it.)

Any ideas?  Both my certified tech and I are stumped.

Craig-

If you can find a program like MacStumbler or iStumbler, it will provide
more information about the wireless signals in your area.  (The program
requires that the computer has an Airport card.)

If you and your neighbor both happen to be on the same channel, then
changing yours to one as far away as possible may clear up your problem.

One other cause of interference is a 2400 MHz cordless phone.  You
didn't happen to just install one, did you?

Most wireless routers default to channel 6. Try setting yours to either
1 or 11. (There are other channels, but they "overlap" and should be
avoided if possible).

I am not sure how to reset an Airport express but again, why would it
do this all of a sudden and why is my network invisible only to my
Powerbook?

Still Stumped,

Fred,

No new phone.  I used Stumbler to search for the network and again, my
laptop still fails to see it while my eMac does.  D'oh!

My laptop continues to work fine with the Airport at my office and
other wireless networks - I'm on the road right now.

Both computers can see my neighbor's linksys.  Good thing I can receive
it while mine is on the fritz!

This one is really a puzzler....

You didn't change the security settings or anything?

Absolutely not.  Just came home one day and no recognizey.  I suppose I
can check the security setting though but they would have had to change
themselves.
