I would like to try to Use an Apple Airport wireless Card on a windows
XP pro laptop, i could not find any software to use it on my windows
machine, i was wondering if anyone had a solution to this, i know i
could just use my other linksys or Orinico car but i would like to say
that i got this to work, any help would be nice, Right now when i put
the card in it says PCMCIA MTD-0002 (or something like that!).

I think even if you got software to drive it, the hardware wouldn't
work. The Airport cards have a jack on the end for an external antenna
-- it plugs in to the antenna that's integrated into your iBook,
PowerMac, whatever.  I would guess that your Windows laptop doesn't have
that, or if it does, it wouldn't have the right connector.

if your Windows laptop has a card slot, you may be able to get a
wireless card for it.

While you could probably get a PCCard designed for XP to work on a Mac,
I doubt the reverse would be true.  I just don't see MS XP being THAT
friendly.  I would get a XP specific PCCard for your laptop.

Really simple (I think)....

1. Find a friend with an Intel Mac
2. Download Bootcamp 1.1
3. Create a drivers CD
4. Update the XP driver with the Airport extreme driver

That should work as PCMCIA I/F is the buffer between the card and the laptop.
