Are there any external v.92 modems that are compatible with OS X
(besides Apple's new modem)?

Thanks,

Emily

External modems are falling out of favor in the Mac community.  The new
Apple USB modems are of questionable value and very many cases of
problems are documented at the Apple support website.  I know of 2
external modems for the Mac - the aforementioned Apple USB and the Best
Data Smart One 56KUSBPMAC which is disappearing right before your eyes.
Maybe, the best thing to do is get an Airport or compatible base station
with a modem built in for he newer Mac models, which is what Apple
appears to be forcing us to do if we want to have a newer Mac.
