Hello all, I'm visiting my folks and am using a computer that I'm not
familiar with.

The browsers installed on the computer are not compatible with several
sites and crash often.  I'm using IE:Mac 5.1 as well as Netscape 4.77.

Can anyone advise a browser to install that is more compatible with
flash/macromedia and some newer websites that will run on OS 9.2?  tx!

MSIE 5.1.x is probably the best browser for OS 9. Netscape 4.x isn't up to
scratch. There were, at one time, versions of Opera and Mozilla for OS 9, but
they had significant problems compared to MSIE, at least at the time I last
tried them, which was over five years ago. I stuck with MSIE under OS 9, and
OS X, until Safari arrived.

I disagree.  Hey, you asked for opinions!!

I am currently using Wacom Mozilla 1.3, but also use Netscape 7.x.

Both work fine under OS 9, both can utilise flash plugins up to at least
version 7 (and version 10 of the plugin)

And, I find it easier to configure security options compared to IE.
