I'm running OS 10.3.9, but am having some system difficulties, like it
can't remember view options. How can I re-install 10.3? I have my
original system discs, but they say that I am running a newer version
and will not let me re-install 10.3.

Any suggestions?

War does not determine who is right; it determines who is left.

In the third or fourth pane of the installer (I think it is), use the
Options button to switch to an archive and install. m.

View Options ... some windows are owned by 'root' and they will always
open/position according to *that* users preferences. This applies to
/Applications and others for example.

If your "problem" is just about what size things open where ... then
login as 'root' set them how you want, then login as you again.
