Viewing messages in Mail.app

I am trying to give Mail.app a try, although I probably won't switch from
Eudora, which I have been using since 1991. The first thing I noticed is that
there does not seem to be shortcuts for navigating between messages. Once I
have an email open, I don't know how to go to the next (or previous) one,
without having to close the current one and open the other manually (with the
arrow keys, for example). I am sure I am missing something obvious here...

Also, is there no way to force the app to display a minimum font size? Some
of the HTML-rich emails have ridiculously tiny sizes (probably because they
originate on a PC with its 96dpi resolution). When I increase manually the
size by using the menu command, the header information also becomes larger,
and since that was already fine in the first place, I end up with a header in
16 or 24 points (terribly ugly), and the body of the email at a decent size.
Is there no way to do otherwise?

Cheers,

Paolo

Space bar works for that, as with most news readers and mail clients.

Your Mac should now default to 96dpi as well, but yes, PCs seem to
display fonts differently.

Doesn't seem to be.

You might be able to setup a Mail rule and a Script to change HTML
messages to plain text, where they should display at the size you set.

Not if you want to delete the mail and move to the next message, and are
opening the messages in a separate window rather than using panes.

Fair enough, I use the pane layout, and don't delete messages
immediately, tending to do a tidy-up in one go.

You already started a thread about this in comp.sys.mac.apps, please
don't multi-post.  If a question is really appropriate for more than one
group, cross-post a single message rather than starting two unrelated
threads.

Point taken.
