Is there a way I can force my 2 Macs to always acquire the same IP address
from the Airport DHCP? I've tried setting it to something using "Manually"
in network prefpane but I lose the internet.

Any tricks to it?

Worked for me if the ip addresses are in "private ip space", i.e.,
10.0.1.2, 3, etc as noted in RFC 1918

Won't work if the ip addresses are in "public ip space" as those
addresses are controlled by the ISP.

Cheers,

Darrell

To reply, substitute .net for .invalid in address, i.e., darrell.usenet3 (at)
telus.net
