Accessing Gmail in OS 9

Is there any browser that works in OS 9 that I can use to access Gmail?

In Mozilla 1.2.1, I can read mail, but composing mail freezes the
browser and I have to force-quit.

Using IE 5.1.7 gets me an error message that tells me ActiveX must be
enabled. I get the error whether or not the "Enable ActiveX" box in
Preferences is checked.

iCab 2.9.8 returns the following cryptic message: "Error: Recursion
A web page should be embedded here, which is already the (grand-)parent
of this frame (recursion)."

Any help will be appreciated.

There is a newer version of Mozilla for OS 9.   1.3.1 is the latest.  I
don't know if it will help your problem but it's worth a try.

I've tried to install 1.3.1 several times, but I can never get it to
recognize my 1.2.1 profile, meaning I'd have to re-enter my passwords
and block a whole bunch of cookies all over again.

1.3.1 was the first version of Mozilla that I ever installed, so of
course I didn't see that problem.

You might want to install it without bothering about your current
profile, and see if it works with Gmail or not.   If it doesn't solve
your problem, you're no worse off than you are now.   If it does, then
you can worry about the profile.

Also known as the Wamcom version but I doubt that will help.

1.3.1 is not at the mozilla web site.

You'll have to google for it.
