I have four macs networked together and everyone can see everything on every computer. That's great for me (the owner). I want to share ONLY a FOLDER on my machine with my daughter so she can send a file over here when she's done with it and needs to print it from here. Homework season is just around the corner. I want her to be able to do all her websearching/research, and get everything all typed up, from her room. Then all she has to do from here is print out her homework. How do I set up a Shared Folder? Give this link a try: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=50051 From what I can remember you should just be able to go to the sharing control panel and within that select the single folder you want shared. Good luck Thanks for your help. I experiemented around some more. I guess I turn File Sharring OFF on All my hdd partitions, and created a folder on the DESKTOP for "Shannon" to share. What I learned is that Since I'm the Qwner, I can still use MY PassWord to access the hdd's that had FileSharing OFF. Thanks for your help......DaveC.... |
