I have a quite old iMac (slot-loaded) running Mac OS 9 that I would like
to Airport-enable. I am quite sure that at least it used to exist USB
<-> Airport and Ethernet <-> Airport solutions that was supported under
Mac OS 9, however everything I can find today requires Mac OS X (10.2).

Any suggestions where I can find a cheap USB or Ethernet based
Airport-solution that supports Mac OS 9?

Thanks

You don't need an ethernet or USB solution, as the slot loading iMacs
can take the original Airport card.  You just also need a $20 holder,
from Apple, to install it.  The original (non-Extreme) Airport card has
been discontinued, but it's still easy to buy one via eBay or third
party vendors.

Unfortunately the ready supply of the original Airport cards seems to
have dried up.  The current selling prices of the ones that do show up
on eBay and from other vendors is now more than the original price at
$90-130.  So it not quite so easy to get one as it was just a few months
ago.

But ethernet/USB-solutions are cheaper than AP-cards. I don't want to
spend a lot of money on such an old computer.
