I just downloaded Mozilla (Version 1.5) and am trying it for the first time.
When I save picture files to my hard drive, it insists on adding the
extension ".jfif" AFTER the ".jpg". Is this normal, or am I doing something
wrong? I'm running Mac OSX, version 10.2.8. Any help would be appreciated.
Right now I'm just going back to all of them and deleting the unneeded
extension. What a pain. - Carl

I too just started using 1.5 and I'm  having the same problem. I've
looked through every setting I could think of and have yet to figure out
a way to stop this behavior.

Anyone have any clues, please?

Drag and drop the image to the desktop.

An effective work-around, thanks.

Drag and drop didn't work properly in the last version of Mozilla (or a
version or two back, so I stopped doing it) -- nice to see drag and drop
back.

Still, it's ridiculous Mozilla now thinks .jpgs are .jfifs, and that we
can't find out how to stop the behavor.
