Can't subscribe to C++ newsgroups

I'm using build 20040502 on a Macintosh G4.  I can't subscribe to any
newsgroups that contain the characters "C++" without the quotes.  Is
this a bug?

You'd think that a bunch of coders would have noticed this bug...

Sounds like http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243467

comp.lang.c++ works fine for me in Thunderbird 0.7.1.
