Q about Safari

i have a B&W G3 running OS X 10.3.8 only (no OS 9) , the latest ver of
Safari (1.2.4) and am using a Macally mouse, two buttons and a
scrollwheel (which can also be programmed as a third button).

i have recently returned to Safari after using Firefox for awhile. One
thing I liked about Firefox was the ability to right click and use
navigation controls to go forward and backward, Safari lacks support
for this.

it probably seems lazy to not want to use the keyboard or move the
mouse and use the toolbar to navigate, but it is really convienant to
be able to do it w/o moving the mouse.

any idea if Apple even cares about this or if support for such a thing
is coming, or even possible w/ Safari??

any comments?

It is new user help. Apparently everyone who has read your original post is
like myself, ignorant of Apple's current development plans for Safari.
Bitchiness is excused. At least by me.

I don't know how long ago this was posted -- but Safari has been at
version 3 for a while, and was at version 2 for quite a long time.
I think that function was in version 2.
I can only check version 3 right now, and command-arrow is supported.

You can also pretty much kiss any development of earlier Safari versions
goodbye, unless Apple finds a security hole that needs work; Apple want you
to buy newer versions of the OS that have more functionality.

Your B&W G3 has built-in FireWire, so it will support OS 10.4, which
includes a version of Safari that supports right clicks. You don't say how
much RAM you have, but up to 1GB is supported, which should be OK for 10.4.
