Need help with driver for epson 1250 photo scanner for OS 10.5

I am posting this for a friend who does not have newsgroup access.

He is having a problem with the driver for his epson 1250 photo scanner.
The tech support advice he has gotten so far has told him that it is a
compatibility issue with OS 10.5. He has the CD so he could go back to
10.4 if he really had to but he would rather stay with OS 10.5. Does
anyone out there have any advice on driver software for OS 10.5 on the
Mac for a epson 1250 photo scanner ?

Epson doesn't have an updated driver?
