This is a new Sandisk 2gb card that reads fine when I connect the camera to my
G4 iMac. With a USB card reader, though, the card only occasionally shows up.
Logging out/in sometimes makes it appear. The card reader is also a USB hub that
works fine. Should I suspect the reader or the Mac? Could third-party utility
software be getting in the way?

Thanks,

You said the card will work sometimes when its in that card reader and
not others. Could it be because some of the other ports are in use on
that card reader sometimes, but not others?

No other card ports have been in use. I tried connecting my printer through the
USB to see if that made a difference; it didn't.
