€ they make the iMic a USB analog to digital audio converter

€ i've had one for ever... i don't even know how long...
at least 10 years... probably longer
€ it finally quit working a few days ago

€ i emailed their tech support to find out about their
   guarantee... not really expecting much
€ i received a reply in less than 12 hours

€ i was told that there was a 1 year replacement guarantee
€ i thanked them and told him that mine was WAY out of
   warranty

€ he wrote back amazed that i had an iMic for so long and
offered to send me a new one even tho it was so old
€ i accepted of course

€ i just received the new one yesterday

€ i'm not suggesting that they do this for everyone, but i
think it does demonstrate a certain attitude that i find
   lacking in most places

€ the product lasted a LOOOONG time and they responded quickly
to my warranty inquiry and then treated my very nicely

€ so i'm writing this endorsement of them
€ i certainly recommend griffin technology's iMic if you are
looking to get audio (line and mic) into your mac

I had a similar experience a few years ago. An excellent company to deal
with.

Well I can't top that but I bought SuperDuper! about a year ago and a
month after buying it I e-mailed in a tech support question.  It too
almost 10 minutes to get a reply. From. The. Author.
