I need a new 512MB stick of 144 pin low profile PC133 SODIMM SDRAM for
my G4 800 Mhz 17" Imac. I see that everyone and his dog is selling new
Micron RAM for prices much lower than "name brand" used RAM. Any
experiences with new Micron RAM on ebay? Is it good quality or is it
junk that has been branded "Micron" to fool the innocent like me?
TIA, Terry

I do not have experience with Micron ram you ask about.

That being said, some PC ram being sold at low prices is made with high
density ram chips.  If I recall correctly, these do not work in Macs,
and in fact work in only some PCs.  Macs usually or perhaps always need
low density ram.  To be sure I always purchase RAM for sources that know
ram that works in Macs.  A good place to start is:
