I do not have experience with Micron ram you ask about.
That being said, some PC ram being sold at low prices is made with high
density ram chips. If I recall correctly, these do not work in Macs,
and in fact work in only some PCs. Macs usually or perhaps always need
low density ram. To be sure I always purchase RAM for sources that know
ram that works in Macs. A good place to start is:
