Perl/Tk on OS X?

I installed Perl/Tk on two OS X boxes, but
make test
failed in both cases. Is Perl/Tk supported on OS X? Are
there some hoops I need to jump through to get it to
install properly?

What other alternatives are there for a gui for perl
on OS X? Has anyone had good success with wxWidgets?

Perl is already included as part of the MacOS distribution.  On OS
10.3.9 Perl 5.8.1-RC3 is installed.  On OS 10.4.7 I see Perl 5.8.6
installed.

For Tk take a look at the Fink system to simplify your install.

CamelBones. Fair warning though, it's a bridge for Cocoa - one of the native
Mac APIs, not a portable kit. So it's not portable to Windows, although being
Cocoa, the module could (in theory at least) be ported to *nix via GNUStep.
