Drcoding jpegs

A friend has sent me some jpgs and they appear as loads of code. I
remember decoding these things back in '95 but can't remember how.

Can anyone help?

I guess yu tried dragging the icon of the file in question on top of the
icon for stuffit expander or graphic converter or preview ?

It could be lost then... try copying all the text (carefully - a
missing letter will break it) and pasting into a plain text document.
Drop that document on stuffit expander.
