Printing from Classic Apps?

I can't get Classic apps to recognize my shiney new HP1210 printer.

I suspect its HP's driver, which seems to install an 1100 series
driver in the Classic system folder and has no custom install option.
Can't boot into Classic (too new a machine to do that) to install the
right printer, either. The driver from the HP site does the same as
the one from the CD, too.

Any ideas? (Apart from updating Office and Photoshop :-)

I have a HP 970C, and I just go to the HP site and download a driver to
suit OS9, drag into the OS9 system, and that works. Maybe I have missed
something.

It's the same file for both X and Classic and it installs the 1100
driver in classic when run under X, just like the CD does (and I can't
simply boot in 9.) Bloody frustrating. Never had an HP driver work
perfectly across all requirements, love their hardware once the
drivers are fixed, but there's always issues to sort in some niggly
way with the drivers. <sigh>
