Hi Woodsie,
> probably got an extension conflict...?
Yahoo Messenger does not put in any extension; at several forums and VT
there are a a number of users reporting the same problem, but no solution
has yet been discovered.
I ran Installer Observer and TechTool Pro 3.0.9 and found nothing
suspicious, and I even went as far as replacing the System Folder with my
stand-by copy, and the problem still persists. YM 2.5.3 is indeed a very
dangerous release, I am not looking forward to this but I might have to wipe
all my hard drives and start all over again; that would be a marathon
session indeed.
Well, I sure hope a solution will be found soon!
Thank you.
Sam.

The problem was actually with the new Yahoo Messenger protocol at the
server end; version 2.5.3 has nothing to do with it at all. Yahoo has
fixed the problem and it is working correctly now.
