Does anyone is Oz actually own or use on of these?  With the new features
released yesterday folks seem to be excited about.  Lets see -  movie
rentals - US- based and completely useless here. Hell you still cant buy TV
shows or movies at the Australia iTunes store.  Are the studios surprised at
all the peer-to-peer file sharing?? (enjoyed the recent BBC Dr Who Xmas
special which the ABC say will not air here for 18 months). OK got off track
here.

Personally I want a box that replaces all those machines sitting next to my
TV now - add a DVD player (may as well be BluRay), DVR (and I don't need or
use an electronic programming guide now - just a great way to time shift
really), and Digital tuner.  That I would buy.  Maybe there is a device like
that already (please don't tell me its windoz media centre - don't think Ill
find BlueRay there :)

No 1920x1080p so it's off the radar for me. Some people buy it to hack
(installing a full version of OS X on it) which seems about it's only
useful role in Australia.

The latest software for the PS3s is apparently good at making it into a
media centre. You can also buy a separate module (from a third party
supplier) to allow it to mount/access Mac volumes (presumably via AFP).
