Recovering lost disk space

My iMac hard disk (500 GB) has recently been almost filled and I don't
really know why.

I first noticed the iDisk on the desk top indicating that I had a
massive amount of free space (800 plus GB rather than a total of 10GB)
then I noticed my hard disk space dropping from just over 400 GB to 60
GB in a day or so.

From various blogs i've concluded its something like a a mirror copy
of the iDisk continually copying itself and storing the copies
somewhere.

I have now turned off the auto desktop version of the iDisk. So it
doesn't seem to be chewing the space up now.

But I want to get that space back.

I've got an iMac 20" 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - Mac OS X 10.5.1 (9B18)

This is where I think it is located.
/Users/iDiskname/Library/FileSync,  336 GB on disk (361,214,236,649
bytes

I used "WhatSize" to get this info.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting my missing GB back.

Thanks
