Basically, this customer has one email account  they access from several
computers, mac & PC using entourage & outlook respectively
Its just set so that the same mail downloads to each computer & does not get
deleted from the pop for a couple of weeks
Fine, but if one person replies its only marked on their computer, not the
others of course so if the boss checks their mail they cant tell if its been
answered or not
They only want the one email address (at the moment). I need to set it up so
that they are all looking at the same mail box on their server & they can
all tell what has been answered. Do I need to set up an exchange server ?
Can I use the existing pop account without setting up a domain ?
The solution can be mac or PC as we have 2 server boxes.

Looking 4ward to your answers

Does IMAP not do just what you want to do?

Ummm , it seems to yes
I just configured my email, as a test, on ozemail (part of iinet)  as an
imap account instead of pop, & it seems to store the sent messages on their
server...

So you mean provided ozemail supports imap then I don't need to configure a
server BETWEEN their pop account & their computers - I can just get them all
to read their messages &  sent items off the ozemail server ??

To answer my own question, yes, this works and iinet said they support imap
connections so we will see how we go........
