Replacing HD and CDROM - iMac G3

Hi there

We have an iMac G3 500 512MB which runs really well. However the HD is
almost full and the CDROM drive is past it.

Has anyone here replaced the drives in a similar unit and happy to
share their tale? I'm keen to do  this but I want it to work as well!

save yourself the trouble and just upgrade to a better mac
