Microsoft .Net on Mac?

I am looking at subscribing to a share trading service through my
sharebroker (Commsec). Changing brokers is not really an option.

The software they use is 'Professional Trader' but they have indicated
it does not work on Mac. I spoke to the tech and it seems their advice
has not been updated since Macs started installing Intel so he did not
have a clue whether it would work - at least he was honest!

The website states:
"Professional Trader 2 has been built on the Microsoft Dot Net framework
which must be installed on your computer before Professional Trader 2
will run."

I know nothing about installing or running applications under windows
but is this application likely to run OK under Bootcamp or Parallels
using XP or Vista (both listed as OK for this software) given the
requirement to use .Net?

Apologies for such a vague question. Comments appreciated. I do not want
to buy a PC if I can avoid it.

regards,
Darryl

It should work just fine under Parallels or Boot Camp.

Thanks Andris,

Somebody mentioned to me that Microsoft .Net comes in three flavours (1,
2 and 3).

I assume that if I intend to use Windows XP (SP2) or later then I would
instal .Net framework 3.x

cheers,
Darryl
