hi all,
i have a friend who bought his first iMac several months back (another freed from
the bondage of windows). He has a G5 running Panther 10.3.9.
The question is, my not being too OSX savvy yet, is there a newsreader for
newsgroups in Panther's Mail, Safari, Firefox, or whatever? We had no luck finding
anything on his system. I'm still in OS9, so my Netscape experience doesn't do
much. And if thee isn't, could someone recommend something?
TIA
Wayne.

Firstly, show your friend www.versiontracker.com and/or www.macupdate.com.
Point out the search box - watch the hits appear!!!
MTNewswatcher, MacSoup, and a host of others, or even Thunderbird for Mail &
News (from mozilla.org), even pine if required ...

Pineapple News is a new one being actively developed. It's well worth
looking at. It works and has potential to be an excellent reader.
