A friend of our [nice person but thick as three short planks] keeps
sending us some sort of picture file with file name "xx.sig" off her
Windozer (running Win2000).

She cannot tell us the name of the programme and is quite incapable of
routinely saving the files as JPEGs [although she does manage it
occasionally].

Hacking into it tells me the package is called "PrintMaster Gold"

Anyone know how to open it [as a graphic, I can see the code easily
enough] on OSX.3?

Have you tried Graphic Converter? It can import Printmaster files.

You could try MacLinkPlus Deluxe. It should have come  with Appleworks.
Drag the file there and click view.
