Problem with Toast SVideo slide shows.

I export QuickTime slide shows with a 4- or 5-second space between
slides from iPhoto and use Toast to burn SVideo movies of these slide
shows with music I add in Quicktime. The problem is that very frequently
the SVideo CD movie has a flash that occurs every .5 seconds.  The
flashing doesn't start until about 15 or 20 minutes into the SVideo.  If
you advance the video one frame at a time, you find that the flash is
caused by single frames that are created with low resolution graphics.
The images on the blurred frames are composed of a bunch of squares of
color like blurred photos on TV.  My slide shows made into SVideos are
usually 20 to 35 minutes long.  I use either a mp3 or aif sound file and
attach it to the QuickTime mov file.  What could be causing this?

Photos with very little detail don't show the flash since a low res
digital version looks about the same as a high resolution version. On
the other hand, photos with thin stripes exhibit a lot of flash since
the blur of black and white stripes is a gray square.

It happens with either the Apple SuperDrive in my iMac G5 or the
external Que CD burner. It also did it in my b/w G3 with the Que CD
burner.  The QuickTime mov file looks perfect.  It isn't until Toast
creates the SVideo that the problem exists, so I assume it is a Toast
problem. It happened with Toast 5 Titanium and occurs with Toast 6
Titanium.  Again what could be causing this?

I guess I will try some RW CDs and try some variations:

Control) Export mov slide show from iphoto.

Variation 1) Export iPhoto photo sequences and open the sequence of
photos in QuickTime PRO and create a slide show in QuickTime PRO.

Variation 2) Try to use an old version of Toast.

Variation 3) Make a regular video CD, not SVideo.

Any other ideas?

Bad MPEG encoding that inserts keyframes where they don't need to be.
I'd contact Roxio about this, maybe they can fix it in a future update.

Thanks Jerry.  I have a complaint in to Roxio, but they haven't
responded.

Your were right on.  Roxio has released a Toast 6 Titanium v6.1.1
updater to:
Resolves an issue with poor performance due to QuickTime 7.
Resolves an issue with burning audio disc images.
Resolves an issue with the "Toast It" contextual menu.
Can now correctly create a DVD Music Albums with a large number
of tracks.

It solves my S-Video problem.
