Pb with iMovie making several movies from the same project

iMovie 4/ Panther

once I've imported my clips from the camera into a project. I often like
to do several movies from the clips but once I drag and drop a clip in
the working pane, make a movie, I cannot use it for another movie as it
won't apper anymore in the clip pane.

You can drag it back into the clip pane from the clip/timeline viewer.
Alternatively, you can reimport from the camera.
Additionally, you can create a new project and import the clip from the
original project.
