Because Apple does not use an activation mechanism for its system
software, you *could* install OSX on as many computers as you care to.
However, it is *illegal* to install it on more than one, unless you buy
the "family pack" for $200. Then, you can install it on 5 computers,
legally

With additional restrictions. The "family pack" is best described as a
residential site license.

There's nothing quite like the joy of first hearing an Alvin & the Chipmunks
cover of Pink Floyd's "The Final Cut." "Not Now John" is especially sublime.

Impossible, or unethical?
Another person from mymac asking how to steal software. Charming.

Possibly just oblivious. With some productss needing activation, it
would not be possible.
The reply re Family License covered the topic.

It is possible, or at least has been with all previous releases of Mac
OS. It is also a violation of the license agreement.
