I have been using Silverkeeper 1.1 for a year or so to make routine
backups to my external drive. Works OK.

With OS 9.2.2, SilverKeeper 1.1.2 normally updates backup volumes
quickly, and apparently accurately.
It is unable to cope with copying volumes of more than 32K files.
There is no warning of a limit to the number of files. The first you
know of it is that the backup process hangs without explanation. It is
an elementary and avoidable silliness that Lacie could long ago have
corrected. As it is, I have to keep an eye on my data volume, and to
compact sets of files into Stuffit archives to stay within the 32K
limit.

For OS 9.2.2 and earlier, you might like Free Backup 3.1, at Version Tracker and
MacUpdate. No such limit. Fast, with a lot of functionality.
