Does anyone know whether this actually fixes the problem, where it fills
up your hard drive with junk, or not?

Seems to not be spewing here.

There's nothing quite like the joy of first hearing an Alvin & the Chipmunks
cover of Pink Floyd's "The Final Cut." "Not Now John" is especially sublime.

Yes, exactly like that. A straightforward, correct and verifiable answer
to a direct question.

> Dolt.

I thought answering the question that was actually asked might be
helpful. Madwen asked if it still spews. It doesn't. I said so. If you
saw a dolt in my post, you're getting too much glare off your display.

Madwen did _not_ ask whether it was a worthwhile piece of software to be
running and what alternatives there might be. You offered an opinion on
those topics. It would have been worthwhile if you had provided anything
resembling a rationale for the opinion. How is MacAlly's driver junk?
How is USB Override going to make her "better off?" You threw both
claims out with exactly no supporting information to help anyone
understand if your subjective judgement was relevant to them.

MacAlly's package does what it's meant to do - provides support for
simple mappings from device entities to traditional events that can be
received by software that doesn't support the device directly. If that's
all she, or I, need how is spending $20 on USB Overdrive going to enrich
our lives?

Actually, Gregory's comment was coherent and useful.  Before you go
insulting someone who is a frequent contributor of real information and
wisdom on the group, you might want to sit back a bit & see that he's
one of the most knowledgable people here.

And also, when "u" write like this, "u" look like an idiot.  Just so "u"
know.
