That's called the iPube, and will be included in OS 10.7.

Wrong.. the iPube is an attachment that will be used with the iPhone 3G.
The original iPhone didn't have enough bandwidth.

Is that in direct competition with the OhMiBod?:

Crashes Camino when you try to view the video.

But works with Webkit.

Well it works fine with Firefox 3 (the only decent browser out there,
IMO).

I find Camino nightly builds crash very rarely and Webkit nightlies are
also pretty spiffy if you can stand Safari's limitations (especially the
lack of automatic restore of saved tab/windows, which bugs me).

For me, without Firefox extensions like AdBlock Plus, QuickProxy,
Foxmarks, and so on, web browsing isn't enjoyable. I refuse to browse
without them.

Ah, I can certainly understand becoming used to AdBlock Plus - I do mis
it when in other browsers, more than anything else.

The day I can no longer view web pages without ads will be a sad day for
me!  I know you can do similar (but not nearly as good) things with
other web browsers, but they are mostly inferior and not for free.

Anyhow, there are other reasons, like how in Firefox I have more control
over more aspects of browsing and how the application behaves; but I
think extensions are the biggest obstacle preventing me from switching
to another web browser full-time.  It's always struck me funny that
other web browser makers don't support Mozilla extensions - especially
considering the whole Mozilla plug-in extension system is open! It seems
like if other browsers did support these extensions, there'd be that
much less a reason for people to switch.

Same here. When I first tried AdBlock for FF, I was amazed. I thought:
How will the internet survive when everyone does this? But maybe it's
only a small percent of users who actually do block ads. Anyone know
what that % might be?

I did a Google search for "AdBlock Plus Statistics" and found some
interesting hits, including:

BTW, regarding advertisers, I think, just like with the impact digital
video recorders have on television, web advertisers will simply have to
start thinking about alternative ways to advertise their products and
services. For television, one alternative is product placement within
non-advertising content such as television shows and movies.

What percentage of code is _not_ shared between FireFox and Camino?

Well, the plug-in extensions, whatever percentage that is:

No, it's called iSpam and if ever included in Mac OS,
Apple WILL go down the tubes.
