In iWeb, on my machine, I see my blog section of my site, Entries and
Archives.  Selecting either displays, on my machine, just what I expect
to see: the entries that will appear on the browser page for my site and
those that have been relegated to the archives because I've chosen to
display only ten entries on the blog index page of my site.

Where it all goes south is when viewing with a browser.  At the bottom
of the index page is a link, "Go to archive."  Clicking on that link
brings up an error page with this text in a few languages:

"We're Sorry but we can't find the iWeb page you've requested. It's
possible that:
The address was entered incorrectly. Check your spelling and try again

The .Mac member of this name has either created a page and removed it or
has never published an iWeb site.

There is no .Mac member of this name. If you'd like this member name for
yourself, sign up for a .Mac account right now and have your own iWeb
site in minutes."

This question was raised on one of the Apple web forums on July 15 and
there have been no helpful responses to that post.

Have you any ideas or actions I can take to resolve this?

My site is linked in my sig line.

Thanks for your help and kindness.

I'm having some curious problems as well, though not the same as yours.
Fortunately it's not business; I've blown it off for a few weeks.

My first thought is that you might be a victim of this big MobileMe
change over.

I have five '.mac' email addresses and although four of them are fine
one does not work at all.

I've emailed Apple about it and tomorrow I'm going to phone them about it.

I don't know anything about iWeb. However looking at the code for the
web-site I see that the "Go to archive" link is pointed at a file
called "Archive.html" which is at the same directory level as
"Blahblahblog.html", so I'm wondering if there is a file there on the
server?

I've tried changing the URL in the location field of the browser to
"Archive.html" at the end rather than "Blahblahblog.html" but to no
avail :(

In a folder called "Blahblahblog" there should be a file called
"Blahblahblog.html".

I believe it was.

Apparently there was not (if I understand all this stuff -- and I likely
do not).  The fix was embarrassingly simple; it just didn't occur to me
to look in the File menu and select Publish All to .Mac.  That's all it
took and I'm grateful for the One-to-One program that Apple offers and
that I have availed myself of, albeit for a fee.  It's been worth the
money to me.

The young man with whom I spent an hour chalked it up to the MobileMe
transition stuff.

Yes, I'd tried that myself before asking here.

Woo-hoo!  IBeJammin'!

Thanks for your response.

There's a new version out, v2.0.4.  It fixed my problem which was
explicitly broken ONLY when I published all.  Go figure...

No kidding.  I updated and (knock wood) everything's working just fine.
I'm liking iWeb for my site and am having fun with the albums, etc.

You should like it, it's a nice site! I am digging mine too. I love the
damn software despite it's frailties, and always have, even when the
frailties were much more a nuisance. Generally, iWeb allows me to
operate a site using about 95% creativity and only about 5% in software
geek/lab jacket mode. That satisfies both of my fans.

I've run into a few problems with images and photo albums during and
after transition and during/after 2.0.4 too.  But I find that if I
change the border, move the entry to another blog and then back again,
just little stuff, it will eventually publish correctly.  I then modify
it back again, publish anew and everything's jake.

Too bad that mobileme has set up the list-serv stuff for oblivion. No
more new groups; but at least they aren't killing old ones.
