It's important to realize that any time you change ID3 tags in a movie,
iTunes must copy the entire movie file and rewrite it to disk. Three
minutes does seem excessive; but depending on how large the movie file
is, the speed of the media on which it is stored, and other related
factors, it may take a while for that write operation to complete.
