I am doing some very unofficial enquiries for my dentist here in Canada,
because I wasn't much impressed by his IT consultant who said to switch
from Mac to PC (or buy Windows software and run in Parallels) to run his
practice now that the software he is currently using is obsolete.
Does anyone know of any Canadian dentists running their practices on
Macs? If so, what are they using?
The office manager tells me her major concern is electronically filing
claims, and that as the codes are different here from those in the U.S.,
U.S. software won't work.
Thanks,
Don Hall

My dentist uses a Mac. But this is in Australia. Maybe if he had a
cheaper PC, he wouldn't be charging me so much every time. <g>

Not Canada, not dentist:
But: Our larger psychiatric practice runs on Mac's, using a custom built
FileMaker solution (actually theres not too much to program really).
Together with an Swiss accounting programme (loops).
And for a dentist (studying medicine myself now):
If he uses digital xrays - this is the freeware that no PC can match, it
does all dedicated viewing stations can do (3D etc):

Okay, I'm in the U.S., not Canada, but I have four dentist and doctor
clients running MacPractice, and I'd recommend seeing if there are
Canadian editions available:
