Intech Speedtools 2.8.1 / QuickBack

Hello...

I have the latest ver. 2.8.1 of Speedtools Utilities and all apps are
running as they should - except QuickBack... Everytime I try to make a
bootable backup on an ext. FW400 or FW800 HD, QB goes into what I'd call
an "infinite loop". It seems as if it has copied/made backup of
everything, but the closing dialog, where it ought to tell me that it
has finished, never comes. - Instead it keeps telling me that QB is
"Completing transfer...." Removed evetything Speedtools and re-installed
several times - nothing helps...

The issue occors on two different machines. - A QuickSilver Dual 1,8ghz
and a MacPro Quad 2,66ghz - both have 10.4.11 and 10.5.2 on seperate
disks. Three of the four systems are 'clean installs' - all updated with
everything latest...

- On the QS I can make a bootable backup of Tiger, when booted in Tiger,
and I can make a bootable backup of Leopard, when booted in Tiger, but
NOT when I boot in Leopard. When booted in Leopard I can do nothing -
just exactly as on the MacPro. - On the MP the problem is on both
systems, no matter which system I boot from.

I've tried on 8 different external HDs in both FW400 & FW800 - no luck...

Any idea what can cause this problem?

Cheers, Erik Richard

sounds like it's not leopard compatible.
