Go to System Preferences and select International and then select Input Menu
and then place a check next to Character Palette. You should then be able to
click on the flag in the menubar and see a drop-down list from which you can
now select Character Palette.
With the Character Palette open click on View and select Glyph and then for
Font select the font of interest. The panel below will show the entirety of
all of the characters available within that font.
If you then click on a single character in the panel you will see the
selected character and all of the characters "related". Clicking on the large
character in the lower left will cause that character to be entered into the
document you are working on.
What you might consider doing is making a small document containing one each
of each of the special characters you want to use. Then, having this
document, you can copy and paste the characters into any document you are
working on in which you would like to use those chara ters.
