Hi,

As the Subject indicates, I'm trying to find a way of setting the
defaul font for text fields in an appleworks database - I have
OS 10.5.2 and I think the latest Appleworks version.

There's nothing mentioned that I could see in the Appleworks help.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Ken

I recall an option in the preferences to set the default font.  It's
application wide rather than specific to databases.

I tried. The General Preferences under the Appleworks menu itself has
no option
to set a universal default font - it has the option to set the default
font for
Text - but no, this doesn't mean text anywhere, it just means Text in
the
word-processing application, since I set it to Arial 12 pt, opened a
new
record in a database file and lo the text field went back to
$#*&(I*Y^@Helvetica
12 pt.

Either I'm missing something obvious or this is primo bush-league hack
crap.
Pardon my language. Great product and all that, but isn't this kind of
a
simple feature, kind of an obvious should-have-been-done-first-thing
kind of feature?

There, I'm breathing normally again. :-)

Actually it seems to be working now. Maybe I just needed to Restart.

Thanks.
