Periodically I want to transfer a new song I purchased at home, to my
iTunes at work.    But there is one purchased video which I do not
want transferred from my iPod.

Is there a way to do it easier than the following?

1.   I find the song in my finder, copy it to my portable drive, and
load it at work.
2.   I transfer purchases as normal, and then delete the video from my
work computer.

No need to find it in the Finder at all. You already have the song
located in the iTunes window.

Just drag it from the iTunes window to your portable drive.

Then drag it from the portable drive to the iTunes window at work.
