I've been using the very wonderful iTunes plug-in Volume Logic, which
worked wonders with MP3 sound quality using multiband compression, for
years now. At the weekend I went over to Leopard, Volume Logic ceased
to work and I've just learned that the program has been discontinued
by the company which bought its developers - there will be no 10.5
version. I'm bereft and very unhappy at having to go back to pre-2004
sound quality (if I'd known this, I'd have left Leopard alone).
Any suggestions for a similar plugin that can rescue me from crappy
MP3 sound quality?

I've not read good things about iWow so I was wondering if anything
better is around. Apparently the aftercare and support for OS upgrades
isn't great.
It seems crazy that a program as well-liked and robust as Volume Logic
should just get killed because it doesn't suit some buy-out artist's
plan. I'm half hoping that someone will see a gap in the market and
dive in.

I know nothing about this plugin but I found:
http://www.mininova.org/tor/1243297
Which appears to be a Leopard version.
