Many ages ago I had a Quadra 660av machine, and one of the things it
could do was answer calls and take messages.  I can do that with Skype
calls, but I've not been able to do that since the 660av on my Mac.

I'd love to have my Mac answer the phone after a couple of rings and
maybe even do things like have custom messages based on the caller ID or
something.

I know, 19th century technology and all that, but we haven't really
improved on the telephone yet...

Anything like this exist?

There were a couple solutions for classic versions of Mac OS.  My father
had and used one that had a really cool drag an drop interface along
time ago. I can't recall the name of it at the moment.

I really miss Yoyo. I picked up a few spares on eBay when my original
died, then the hard drive in my PB5300 crapped out, so now we have to
listen to the phone ring and look at the caller ID to decide if we want
to answer or not. Perhaps it's better to just cut the cord?
