Getting a new macbook pro tomorrow. Need to know if anyone has
Thunderbird installed with Leopard and if there are any issues. I'm
presently running TB on Tiger 10.5.11 with no issues at all.
Many thanks

Upgraded to leopard a week ago, no issues with Thunderbird (latest version)

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take.....
but by the moments that take our breath away.

I downloaded Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 to see how it worked.  The only issue
so far, is that it can't convert my older mail files to its format.

I have mail saved in AOL for OS X format, and that converted to Mail.app
format.  Neither shows up as an acceptable format for conversion.

Am I missing something?

JR-

This is apparently from 2004, and applies to earlier versions of both
Thunderbird and Mail.app.  I wasn't able to find the referenced files or
folders in either of the recent versions.  I tried to improvise, but
Thunderbird didn't recognize any Mail.app mail files.

I suppose I should take my own advice and purchase Emailchemy!

Wow.  Maybe you should add a comment to that web page about that then.

I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 running under Leopard 10.5.2 on two
different machines. No difference from running it under Tiger a few
months back, as far as I can tell.

I installed Thunderbird by copying all of its data files from my
Windows machine.  Then it took some work to migrate to Mail, but it's
useful having those old messages two places.

It is one of the newsgroup readers I have tried in my unsuccessful
search to find one that worked the way I want a newsgroup reader to
work.   Three times it lost my signon and password (or maybe that was
the keychain that lost them), but other than that it works as expected
under Leopard.

I expect to try it with the upcoming Thunderbird upgrade if I haven't
found something that works the way I do before then.

Wouldn't have been the keychain-- Thunderbird doesn't integrate with it.
(Think that might be coming in 3.0 though, along with Address Book
integration...)

Thanks everyone who answered. I've been off line tweaking in a new
Macbook Air. Unbelievable great notebook!!! I can't say enough good
about it. Love the thing.
Thunderbird went into Leopard with no issues.
