Safari doesn't cache PDF

Hi,
since the Schubert plugin doesn't work on Intel (without crippling
Safari) I have to make do with the built-in PDF support. Which
apparently doesn't even cache. Is there a hidden preference for that?

Life with no Schubert would be like life with no Bach or Trane.
Time to write to Schubert to encourage him.
